Kim Wohlwend, MSN, APRN is the founder and lead clinician of Midwest Mind & Body Healthcare. She holds dual ANCC board certifications as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner — a rare combination that lets her see the connections between mental health, metabolism, and hormones that most specialists miss.
She earned her MSN-FNP from Clarkson College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and completed graduate training in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. She maintains active licensure across 16 states and serves as Nebraska's liaison adjunct for APRN students at the University of Cincinnati.
Her clinical experience spans digital medicine, house-call practice, retail clinic management, and inpatient care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Your provider is a nurse practitioner, not a physician.
We say this plainly because you deserve to know who is treating you. Advanced practice registered nurses are licensed to evaluate patients, diagnose, and prescribe medication in every state where this service operates.
Licensed to prescribe
APRNs hold prescriptive authority under the nurse practice act of each state where they are licensed. Kim maintains active licensure in all 16 states this service covers.
Board certified twice
Certification is granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and requires graduate education, supervised clinical hours, and a national examination.
Accountable to a board
She is subject to the licensing board of each state, the same complaint and discipline process that applies to any licensed clinician there.
What happens to your intake.
Asynchronous does not mean automated. Here is what a clinician is actually looking at when your intake arrives.
What is checked
Your menopausal status and symptoms, your full medication list, and any history of breast or endometrial cancer, thromboembolic disease, liver disease, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or pregnancy and breastfeeding. Your clinician confirms that local vaginal estrogen is appropriate for you specifically.
What happens next
If approved, your prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy you chose and you are charged the $50 clinical fee. If not approved, you are not charged, and you receive an explanation along with a suggested next step where one exists.
Treatment is never guaranteed. Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate, at the sole discretion of the reviewing licensed clinician. Declining to prescribe is a clinical judgment, not a customer-service decision, and it is not negotiable.
